Originally a small guest house – the Hotel Rose can look back on a long history!

Generations of the Kröll family have lived in Mayrhofen since 1490.
The „Rose Guest House“ and a little farm was built by Simon (son of the Kramerwirt Hotel) and his wife in 1900.
Simon II, one of six children, was born in 1914.

The family has always managed the guest house with much love and tradition, which is why it has been a favourite meeting place over the years and right up to this present day for many local clubs and societies, the Mayrhofen Town Band in particular.

Simon II and his wife – also called Maria – then built the Rosenalm Mountain Restaurant at the Zillertal Arena, as well as the Sonne Guest House and agricultural buildings in Hollenzen. From their four children, Simon III inherited the agricultural business and the Rose Guest House in 1987.

Over the following years, renovation and construction work took place to ensure guests were always offered the highest standards of quality. Part of the guest house was demolished and rebuilt in 1989. During building work, great emphasis was placed on harmoniously combining the traditional air of the house with top modern comforts. The old farm lounge with traditional wood burning stove has actually been integrated into the present structure.
The fourth generation of the Family Kröll assumed management of the Hotel Rose in autumn 2009. „It is with great joy and pride that we continue the family business!“ And so the tradition goes on – Simon V entered the world in 2007!
